
Former World No. 1 junior Alexander Zverev achieved a career-high ATP ranking of No. 2 in 2022 at the age of 25.
The German is a two-time Nitto ATP Finals champion, winning the event in 2018 and 2021. He has also won seven ATP Masters 1000 titles as well as the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, plus the United Cup with Germany in 2024.
Zverev is the third player after Andy Murray and Dominic Thiem to have defeated Novak Djokovic on hard, Roger Federer on grass and Rafael Nadal on clay. In 2020 Zverev reached his first final of a Grand Slam at the US Open, which he lost to Thiem in five sets. He subsequently reached the finals of Roland Garros in 2024 and the Australian Open the following year.
